I have now started week 4 with the same set of symptoms, fortunately less severe than before, but nonetheless still there.  What's a person to do?  Rest, rest and more rest.  I have been astounded Bed Restby how clearly my body tells me it is done for the day, so for a change, I am choosing to listen, act on it and see what comes of that.

I've also chosen to start a video diary of my healing process ... more to follow as my video recorder keeps crashing, so I can't download what I've recorded.

Never seems to be a shortage of opportunities to share with you!  Read on and send me an email if you attend something that you like.

Just For You ... At Your Convenience

So there are two controversies brewing throughout the country.
  1. Should yoga schools be licensed by the state?
  2. Should sales tax be collected on yoga and meditation classes?
Click the links above to access recent New York Times articles detailing the differing perspectives between state governments' need to earn revenue and the yoga community.

I find that I am still uncertain where I fall on this debate. I believe in the need to recognize the difference between being taught by a yoga teacher with a weekend credential versus a teacher with many years of experience. I believe in the need to obtain proper liability insurance, business licenses and the other associated costs of being in business, which is loosely followed by the yoga community. At the same time, I have a concern that certification by a governmental agency will result in the loss of the individualized expression of the mind-body-spirit connection that is experienced between each teacher and each student and thereby result in even more injuries.

What do you think?  I welcome your thoughts.

PS.  Sign up today for Alexi Sebasttien's free video series! If you are intrigued, then be sure to dial in for her free calls next week (or listen to the recordings) to get more information about her upcoming Life Purpose Intensive.
