July 2007
|
On June 30, I launched my new and improved website. I
am really proud of the result and hope that it is easier to
navigate and easier to find me than my old one. The project
was an unexpected chance to reflect on all that I have created
in less than a year. But it also challenged me to commit to
where I want to go from here. The more I cleared my own mind
of clutter, my insight was that I create opportunities for
others to focus, contemplate and grow. What a shock when I
realized everything I do is a variation on a theme:
meditation, but rarely in the way that most people
expect!
Summer is a time when you are out of the box
imposed by the school year. Everything slows down and there is
so much to savor. It lends itself to reflection and
appreciation. In response to your requests, please join me in
a free Meditation at the Beach on July 27 (see details below)
- what better way to let go, be in the moment and appreciate
than at the beach?
I have new meditation courses
commencing at month end and it is never too late to join the
In Sweet Company discussion group. As always, I am
available for private Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy sessions by
appointment. Please note that some of these are free, while
some require payment. I hope you see something that catches
your eye ... something that will allow our paths to cross
again.
Sincerely,

For Women Only
Recently, I have come across some books that have so
many intriguing concepts that they invite discussion. In
Sweet Company is one of those books. It is a collection of
interviews with 14 women of different ethnic, professional,
and religious backgrounds about their personal spirituality.
Since April, a group of 30 women gathered with me to discuss
the first three interviews and everyone agreed on what a
unique space of respect, honesty and personal sharing was
mutually created. Our conversations were so stimulating that
it was hard to leave after an hour!
We will resume our
conversations on July 23 and would love to welcome new members
to our midst. This particular book lends itself to busy
schedules, as each week we discuss a different interview,
which does not build upon prior discussions. Please read
Chapter 7 Riane Eisler for our first meeting.

Free Group Meditation
Come celebrate my birthday with me with a meditation at
the beach. Those who know me know that my meditations simply
require you to stop, fill your senses and appreciate. What
better way than at the beach?
This particular beach has
wind swept sand, soaring birds, amazing waves, and we'll be in
time to catch the sunset. Please no presents ... just your
presence. Feel free to share this event with your friends and
family.
Price: Free RSVP to
integrativeinsight@gmail.com by July 26, so that I can notify
you if there is a change of plans. This event may be relocated
or canceled depending upon the weather.

pillow to class. Basic concepts taught in the first two
meetings will be used throughout the series, so drop-ins are
