Nature Meditation
Meditation is about engaging all of your senses, something that
happens easily when out in nature. So why not combine the best of nature with meditation? When you are noticing everything there is to notice, even that your thoughts are distracting you, then you are necessarily fully present in the moment.
Nature meditations serve a dual purpose for me. Nature provides an abundance of beautiful aspects to simply stop and notice. The sensation of the breeze or sun on my skin ... the sight of flowers or light filtering through leaves ... the relaxation that I almost immediately feel. There is so much that engages my senses that I can't help but be in the moment.

The second purpose served by a nature meditation is that I find it impossible to spend time in nature and return to life without a lingering sense of appreciation. It used to be that I would only experience that when touring the national parks or on a long hike or on vacation. But life rarely permits me those extended breaks, so I challenged myself to find ways to bring the qualities I most enjoyed about those breaks closer to home.
Please check the calendar to find out when we meet next. Alternatively, consider signing up for my newsletter, so I can keep you posted on upcoming events and programs. If the next nature meditation is scheduled on a day that meshes with your schedule, please RSVP so that I can contact you in case the weather adversely affects our plans. While those who attended the first Meditation at the Beach were blown away (figuratively) by the experience, we were almost blown away (literally) due to heavy winds.
- Meditation At The Beach - Given that we live along the coast of Southern California, what better way than at the beach? Within minutes of arriving, the sight and sounds of the soaring birds, the light reflecting off the water, the feel of the sand, and the mood of the ocean take me to that special place of appreciation. Meditation becomes effortless because there is so much to keep me in the present ... so much to appreciate. Join me in a complimentary meditation that always reconnects me with all that is important.
- Garden Meditation - We are truly blessed to be surrounded by gardens of infinite variety. Some are natural, some are manicured, some contain native species, some contain flora from around the world. Regardless of the setting, there is always something in a garden that lends itself to meditation. Join me in a complimentary meditation that always reconnects me with all that is important.
